Documents for developers (Toolbox)

From the 2021 fishing season forward, there will be two categories of forms:

• Required
• Fishery Specific

All Electronic Logbook (ELOG) client applications will be required to follow the National technical packages. They must also include the mandatory forms identified in the section “Required Forms” in order to be qualified by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).

The ‘Required’ list is neither exhaustive nor definitive and may include additional reporting requirements in the future as further departmental priorities are identified.

The current versions of the technical packages are published on this page. When upcoming versions are available, they will also be posted here along with their planned production date. Providers developing products for qualification must develop and test against the upcoming versions. Upcoming versions should only be deployed to production on the implementation date indicated in the table.
