Ocean Conservancy	Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation region	With participation from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Ocean Conservancy's Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI) convened two virtual capacity building workshops to provide training and foster knowledge-sharing on the implementation of best practices for managing abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded fishing gear (ALDFG), including increasing the use of effective gear-marking strategies as part of an integrated gear-loss reporting system. The workshops brought together relevant stakeholders across Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies, fostering collaboration in order to ensure the effectiveness and success of the implementation of best practices and relevant gear-marking. GGGI also conducted an ALDFG impact analysis to better understand the effects of different gear types discarded in the ocean, particularly on aquatic life.	$152,322.00	International Leadership
