2022 offshore Arctic surf clam fishery (Maritimes Region) – Banquereau and Grand Bank
The 2022 offshore Arctic surf clam fishery occurs on offshore clam beds located on the Grand Bank and Banquereau Bank.
Dates of season (subject to change)
The offshore Arctic surf clam fishery operates year round, from January 1st – December 31st.
Total allowable catch (TAC)
The TAC for the 2022 Arctic surf clam fishery has been set at 35,699 tonnes, resulting from the combined Grand Bank TAC of 14,756 tonnes and the Banquereau Bank TAC of 20,943 tonnes.
Management measures
The offshore Arctic surf clam fishery is managed under the offshore clam integrated fisheries management plan (IFMP).
