Consultation on Foxe Basin walrus harvest levels

Harvesting consultations are undertaken on a regular basis and will be open again in the future.

This consultation asked for feedback on science advice and potential harvest levels for Foxe Basin walrus.

We invited interested parties to learn about walrus management options and share their views on sustainable harvest level recommendations.

The purpose of this consultation was to ask for comments on harvesting of Foxe Basin walrus.

In-person meetings took place in Igloolik and Hall Beach in September 2017.

Staff were available to provide information, answer questions and listen to feedback. Relevant background material was presented.
