Modeling the growth in length of Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus L.) by a Bayesian statistical approach
By François Grégoire and Linda Girard
Abstract
Growth in length of Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus L.) in the Gulf of St. Lawrence was modelized using Bayesian and classic statistical approaches. The results highlighted several advantages linked to the Bayesian approach. Such advantages should encourage greater use of this approach in population dynamic.
