Protecting Species Together
The Framework for Aquatic Species at Risk Conservation provides collaborative, multi-species approaches to conservation and recovery.
Transcript
Taking care of ecosystems helps conserve and recover Canada’s aquatic biodiversity.
At Fisheries and Oceans Canada, we’re working to find new ways to conserve and recover aquatic species at risk in Canada.
Working with partners, we are supporting actions that can benefit multiple aquatic species at once.
Multi-species conservation approaches can address common threats in an ecosystem.
This leads to healthier ecosystems overall.
We’ve developed the Framework for Aquatic Species at Risk Conservation, to guide this important work.
