Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
Total Canadian GDP declined 5.1% in 2020, mitigating the 1.8% increase in 2019. Seafood processing GDP declined 5.3% in 2020, after a 3.5% increase in 2019. Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting GDP grew by 3.3% in 2020, approximately matching the growth in 2019. Fishing, hunting and trapping GDP declined 2.3% in 2020, following a marginal decline in 2019.
