Size: Adults are 1.5-2.5 metres long and weigh 70-110 kg; males are slightly larger than females

Diet: Capelin, squid, and other small fish

When you might see it: year-round, although they may be more common during summer.

Where you might see it: throughout the region, usually in deep offshore waters.

Notes: This dolphin is a fast-swimmer and may ride the waves caused by the bow of a boat – sometimes using the bow waves of large whales. They are very social and have been seen in groups numbering in the thousands.
