Canadian Hydrographic Service Directory

CHS Directory (CHSDir) is a meta-database that is used to store information about CHS source data and documents, as well as products. It also has functions and tools for planning and production. The CHSDir also includes other information, such as chart formats and other planning documents.

The stored metadata includes information about the identification, extent, quality, spatial and temporal schema, spatial reference, and distribution of digital data collected in hydrographic surveys. It also can include maps, charts and textual documents.
