Range profiles
Pacific Region

The seasonal means and expected ranges of temperature and salinity. Range Profile files contain statistical information about the area enclosed by the polygon in the displayed map. The statistics are based on CTD and bottle cast profiles which were present in the IOS data archives at the time of the file's creation (December 1996). In addition to being area-specific, the statistics are also specific to a season.

Remote Sensing
St. Lawrence Global Observatory

Remote Sensing - Sea Surface Temperature
The Maurice Lamontagne Institute remote sensing laboratory

Data is processed to calculate sea surface temperatures. The images are used to generate a complete national coverage for each day and averages over many days.

Responsible National Oceanographic Data Centre (RNODC)
International

ISDM in Canada became a Responsible National Oceanographic Data Centre (RNODC) for Drifting Buoy Data on behalf of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in January 1986. The purpose of this Web site is to describe the activities of the RNODC-ISDM in acquiring and making drifting buoy data available to the international scientific community.
