International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES)
International

Since its establishment in Copenhagen in 1902, ICES has been a leading scientific forum for the exchange of information and ideas on the sea and its living resources, and for the promotion and coordination of marine research by scientists within its 19 member countries from both sides of the Atlantic including all European Coastal states.

Joint Commission on Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (J-COMM)
International

SDM activities in J-COMM support such programs as GTSPP, WOCE-UOT and SOOPIP for Temperature and Salinity ocean profiles and surface observations. ISDM also acts as the responsible centre for drifting buoys (RNODC) and distributes J-COMM products such as the monthly Mean Sea Level in the Pacific analyses produced by the J-COMM Sea Level Program (ISLP) to the Canadian marine community.
