Security Awareness

In order to promote security awareness and as a way of keeping small vessels and small vessel facilities safe and secure Transport Canada has recently produced the two following brochures: “Small Vessel Facility – Security Awareness” and “Small Fishing Vessel – Security Awareness”. 

To provide Harbour Authorities with a handy reference tool, Small Craft Harbours is pleased to provide you with copies of the attached two brochures.  These brochures provide information and best practices related to planning for security incidents, best practices related to security as well as RCMP contact numbers for reporting suspicious marine activities.

These brochures have been posted onto the Small Craft Harbours website at http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/sch-ppb/home-accueil-eng.htm or can be made available through your local Small Craft Harbours regional office.
