Canada's waters are rich in marine life and biodiversity. From a variety of whales and large predators like the great white shark to the smallest shellfish, our waters are teeming with marine life. This abundance has sustained Aboriginal people and coastal communities, spurred the national economy and inspired imaginations for generations.
