Oceans Dialogues Lecture Series

This lecture series has been made possible through a joint partnership between Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Ocean Management Research Network.

The Oceans Dialogues Lecture Series provides a venue to discuss policy aspects of social science and humanities research on oceans issues. Leading researchers from across Canada are invited to give a lecture followed by a question-and-answer period. The series is targeted at federal government employees and academia.

Topics for discussion include:

  • the state of coastal planning in Canada;
  • the effectiveness of marine spatial planning;
  • coastal communities and climate change; and
  • Arctic sovereignty.

Lectures take place every three to four months. For information on dates and times of upcoming lectures, go to: Ocean Management Research Network.
