Minister Ashfield Lends his Support to Nova Scotia Exhibitors at the International Boston Seafood Show

Boston, Massachusetts - Minister Ashfield lent his support to Nova Scotia exhibitors at the International Boston Seafood Show yesterday, where he met with many potential buyers and sellers at what is North America largest seafood event.

Nova Scotia is Canada’s second largest exporter of fish and seafood, with exports valued at $915.4 million. The province exported 111,330 tonnes of fish and seafood. The top three exports by value were lobster (25,924 t valued at $373.5 million), snow/queen crab (8,945 t valued at $100.7 million) and scallop (4,332 t valued at $98.2 million).
