Management of Pacific Albacore Tuna Stocks

The Canada-U.S. Pacific Albacore Tuna Treaty allows Canada’s West Coast tuna harvesters to fish and land their albacore catches in American waters. This reciprocal arrangement signed in 1981 also permits American tuna harvesters access to Canadian west coast waters and ports to fish and land their albacore catches.
