Convictions Under the Fisheries Act, Gaspé and Lower St. Lawrence
QUÉBEC - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of Gaspé and Lower St. Lawrence fishers fined in December 2011 for violations of the Fisheries Act.
The fines imposed on the offenders total $9,550. The offenders are:

|Exceeding the daily quota for herring in 2009.||$1,550|
|Fishing from a vessel not named in the licence.||$500|
|Non-compliance with snow crab licence conditions.||$500|
