Minister Ashfield Tour in Newfoundland and Labrador

The Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada welcomes back the crew of the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker Henry Larsen upon her return from operations in the Arctic. Minister Ashfield met with the captain and crew on Saturday, November 19, 2011 to discuss their recent mission in the Arctic, including their role at a tragic commercial plane crash in Resolute Bay, Nunavut in August. The Henry Larsen will now undergo its annual maintenance in preparation for winter ice operations in Newfoundland and Labrador and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
