Contractor reports - Hydrography and Ocean Sciences

Contractor reports are unedited final reports from scientific and technical projects contracted by the Oceans and Science sectors of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The contents of the reports are the responsibility of the contractor and do not necessarily reflect the official policies of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. If warranted, contractor reports may be rewritten for other publications series of the Department, or for publication outside the government.

Data reports - Fisheries

Data reports of fisheries and aquatic sciences provide a medium for filing and archiving data compilations where little or no analysis is included. Such compilations commonly will have been prepared in support of other journal publications or reports. The subject matter of data reports reflects the broad interests and policies of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, namely, fisheries and aquatic sciences.

Data reports - Hydrography and Ocean Sciences

Data reports of hydrography and ocean sciences provide a medium for the documentation and dissemination of data in a form directly useable by the scientific and engineering communities. Generally, the reports will contain raw and/or analyzed data but will not contain interpretations of the data. Such compilations will commonly have been prepared in support of work related to the programs and interests of the Oceans and Science sectors of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Industry reports contain the results of research and development useful to industry for either immediate or future application. They are directed primarily toward individuals in the primary and secondary sectors of the fishing and marine industries.

Distribution is restricted to institutions or individuals located in particular regions of Canada. However, no restriction is placed on subject matter, and the series reflects the broad interests and policies of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, namely, fisheries and aquatic sciences.
