About our Libraries

The library network in Fisheries and Oceans Canada consists of 11 libraries located in the departmental offices and research establishments across Canada. Together, our libraries contain one of the world's most comprehensive collections of information on fisheries, aquatic sciences and nautical sciences.

Need Assistance?

All libraries are open to the public, and staff in any of our libraries can help with your information needs. You may visit, telephone or email the library nearest you - just select a library from the side menu for locations, hours of operations, and contact information.

As a rule, non-departmental users may not borrow materials directly; however, loans may be arranged through your own library.

Other libraries may borrow material on Interlibrary Loan from any of our libraries.

DFO users may access the full suite of library services on the Intranet.
