Testimonial from Nunavut 3

Transcript

Welcome to our land, Nunavut. This is middle of March, and as you can see, this is my community. This is Iqualuit, and everything is snow. Out in the horizon is the normally the water, but the snow is covered here nine months of the year. We have no trees, we have no vegetation. So, we live off the land. The land provides us with the seal. This is seal skin, we use it for clothes, for mitts, and. We really can not grow anything here. We have small small plants here, and we can not grow vegetables, we can not grow fruits, so this beautiful land that you see here that's our home and it provides us all the food that we need. The seal, the caribou, the char, the polar bear; this is what the land gives us, and we are very proud to be hunting it and eating it.
