Regulatory Issues

Recent amendments to the Marine Mammal Regulations dealing with sealing methods will further enhance the humaneness of Canada’s annual seal harvest. These proposed changes are supported by the advice of scientists and reflect recommendations of both the Independent Veterinarians Working Group and Europe’s Food Safety Authority.
