Tagging Plan Submission Dates for 2013

Industry and potential tagging suppliers are advised that for the 2013 fishing season, the Department is relaxing its deadline for tagging submissions beyond November 15, 2012.

This approach is also outlined in the Protocol for Gear Tagging in Atlantic Commercial Fisheries, which states that the Department would relax the requirement for tagging plans to be submitted 120 days before the opening of a fishery.

Please note, however, that tagging plan must still outline that tags will be provided to harvesters prior to the opening of a fishery.
