Grouping Renewal

In an effort to increase efficiency in the group-based certificate application process, we have developed a comprehensive grouping renewal function within the Fisheries Certificate System (FCS) with a target release date of September 2011.

The new grouping renewal function is simplified and will allow you to create and update groupings faster and more efficiently. In the new grouping structure, there will be two main group types:

  1. Vessel
  2. Community

To further define each grouping, there will be the option to choose a Buyer/Agent or Aboriginal vessel/community, when applicable.

Please note that all current groupings will need to be renewed when the new grouping renewal function is implemented in September. The new grouping renewal functions also include improvements to the content of groupings, to continue increasing traceability in the Fisheries Certificate System. Further details regarding the deadline for renewing these groupings will be provided to each company in the next 2 weeks along with specific instructions on groupings renewal.

Since the new grouping types will be different from the previous types listed within FCS, there will be a small number of groupings that will need to be revisited to conform to the new grouping types. If you have any groupings that do not conform to the new grouping types, you will be contacted by the Catch Certification Program: Operations Centre and will need to re-create the grouping. The Catch Certification Program: Operations Centre will provide you with detailed instructions that explain how to re-create these groupings and will provide assistance throughout the renewal process.

Client Survey

We'd like to thank you for your participation in the client survey. We are currently implementing changes as a result of the information we received from you. We will be doing periodic pulse surveys throughout the year in order to ensure we are continually improving to better serve you.

Recorder to Monitor Qualité

In order for the Catch Certification Program to ensure high quality of service to our clients we will be implementing a phone recorder to perform quality assurance

The CCP will advise all clients once the recorder is implemented.
