The CCP:OC has escalated to another level providing an additional service to continue the growth and mission of protecting Canadian marine life. As of June 5th, 2012 the CCP:OC has been equipped to take on the responsibility of issuing CITES permits to preserve Canadian endangered species.
Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) is an international agreement which regulates the trade in wild flora and fauna, including all live specimens, their parts and products. CITES is applied in Canada in accordance with the Wild Animal and Plant Protection and Regulation of International and Interprovincial Trade Act (WAPPRIITA). Species which are regulated by CITES are listed under one of three appendix levels which require varying levels of protection through the use of permits.
The CCP:OC will primarily issue Export Permits and Re-export Certificates. Export permits apply when the specimen originates from Canada and are required in order to export all appendix I, II and III species. DFO Export permits have a 6-month validity period from the date of issuance and can only be used for one shipment.

The modify tool will better serve you by allowing you to alter groups without the inconvenience of waiting ten business days, provides us with enhanced traceability, and reduces hesitation of updating groups. If you require additional information or assistance with this function, please contact us at the CCP:OC.
CCP:OC will continue to operate between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm AST on Saturdays and Sundays.
Catch Dates are for when the product is caught not when product is purchased from a vessel or buyer/agent.
