Conference: Hotel AccommodationsConference ParticipationAs an inter-governmental conference, participation is achieved by inviting governments and international organizations, based upon their expertise in subject matters. Conference participation is by invitation only and focuses on government delegations and international organizations. Over the past several months, conference organizers have received a significant volume of requests from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academics and members of the public to attend the conference. The Government of Canada has tried to be inclusive despite logistical limitations for the conference, and has invited representatives of a number of United Nations-accredited NGOs, international organizations and academic experts as observers. Participation is always possible as part of a government delegation. You should direct any concerns about conference participation to your government’s foreign affairs department. Information will be posted on the conference website, including an official communiqué and final report once proceedings are complete. |
