Management Measures

A Canadian annual total allowable catch of 36,000 tonnes per year for both 2012 and 2013 (reduced from 60,000 in 2011) with flexibilities built into the current sharing arrangement (60% inshore (<65 ')/ 40% offshore (> 65')) if required during either the 2012 or 2013 fishing season.

Increased efforts will continue to be undertaken by the Department to collect data from mackerel bait fisheries.
