SFA 0, 1 and 7 operate on a calendar year (January-December).

Total Allowable Catches and Sharing Arrangements (if applicable)

The 2011 quotas are:

  • SFA 0: 500t
  • SFA 1: 15,583t
  • SFA 7: 15,994t*

*The Total Allowable Catch (TAC) in Division 3L for 2011 was set by NAFO at 19,200t, down from 30,000t in 2010. Canada’s portion (83.3%) of this quota, fished in SFA 7, is reduced accordingly. This reduction is shared by the inshore and offshore fleets according to the current sharing agreement; there is no change to special allocation quotas. The quotas for SFA 7 will be:
