Management Measures
Number of licences :
Sub-area 1A : 1 regular licence
Sub-area 1B : 1 regular licence
Sub-area 2 : 4 regular licences
Sub-area 3A : 2 regular licences

Sub-area 4A : 2 regular licences
Sub-area 4B : 5 regular licences
Drag width :
Only one drag per boat for which the width of the basket does not exceeding 1.83 m (6 feet) and with a minimum spacing of the rods of 3.175 cm.
Logbook :
Log book is obligatory for all areas. When there are fishing activities, log book duly completed must be send to the DFO Office in Sept-Îles every week.
Minimal size:
80 mm measured in the largest axis of the shells.
Sectors excluded:
In order to respect the Canadian Shellfish Sanitation program (CSSP), the excluded sectors announced into 2009 are still effective.
Temporary transfer :
Possibility of temporary transfer of quota of 100 % for sub-areas 3A, 3B and 4A according to the following order: 1) for licence holders in the same area and 2) for licence holders in an adjacent area.
Hail in :
Mandatory hail In to a local dockside monitoring company for areas 1 to 4B inclusively.
Multiannual committee :
Triennial management plan. The next advisory committee will be held in 2012.
Licence conditions:
A two working days deadline is necessary for the issuance of the licence conditions.
Species at risk Act :
Pursuant to the Species at Risk Act (SARA), all by-catches of spotted wolfish, northern wolfish and leatherback Turtle must be returned to the water and released in the same location they were caught and, if the specimen is still alive, with as little harm as possible. Moreover, information regarding interactions with species at risk must be provided in the Species at risk section of the logbook.
