![]() The School House!
Welcome to the Schoolhouse! Polly Perch is always eager to learn. She’s a freshwater fish, so she’s constantly searching the shores and bottoms of shallow lakes and ponds for information. Polly’s not your usual perch; she’s a little cuter than the real thing. But you can tell she’s a perch by her unusual dorsal fin that’s divided into two parts. The front part is spined, and the back part called soft-rayed. Join Polly and find out about ocean and freshwater environments and species, and where to go to university to study these subjects. There’s also a resource section for teachers. Activities & Lesson Plans | Experiments Teacher-led Activities and Links to Lesson Plans
