Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program
The Government of Canada invests up to $55 million to restore fisheries habitat.
Nearly $25 million has been committed to more than 450 projects across Canada to restore, rebuild and rehabilitate fisheries habitat since 2013.
Part of the National Conservation Plan, the RFCPP was created to support habitat restoration projects led by recreational fishing and angling groups, as well as conservation organizations. Given its early success and high demand, Economic Action Plan 2015 extended the program to 2018-2019, adding another $30 million to support the conservation of recreational fisheries habitat across the country.
